Why Make a Foodways Map?

Rockport has long been a source of creativity and creation, from the lobstermen who work the harbor to the artists who have come to Rockport for over one hundred years to capture the essence of this place. Today, Rockporters carry on the tradition of creativity. Not just through art, but through a range of mediums, including the growing, making, and producing of that most basic of elements: food.
